Your mission

Cloud Operations Excellence
  • Define, implement, and continuously improve Cloud Ops KPls for the whole Matrix42 product portfolio.
  • Ensure KPls are trending positively in alignment with business objectives (availability, performance, cost efficiency, cloud gross margin, customer satisfaction).
  • Drive operational automation, standardization, and adoption of best practices (SRE, DevSecOps).
  • Build and maintain platform-agnostic stack building blocks to enable flexible deployment models across hyperscalers, private clouds, and on-premises data centers.
Incident & Escalation Management
  • Establish a proactive Cloud incident management framework to reduce customer-impacting issues.
  • Own escalation metrics and ensure downward trend.
  • Partner with Customer Success and Support teams to accelerate resolution and assure timely root
  • cause analysis.
Financial Performance & Profitability
  • Own Cloud cost management and margin optimization for the Matrix42 Cloud.
  • Implement FinOps practices to optimize resource consumption, vendor contracts, and scaling models.
  • Drive Gross Margin improvement while ensuring high service quality.
  • Maintain a low operational cost base to enable competitive yet profitable pricing models across all deployment models.
Strategic Differentiation: Cloud Your Way
  • Deliver flexible deployment models that support:
    • Public Cloud (multi-tenant Saas based on Microsoft Azure).
    • Private Cloud with country-specific data residency.
    • On-premises/ customer data center deployments.
  • Provide turn-key deployment options that do not compromise data residency or sovereignty.
  • Position the company as a trusted European Choice by prioritizing sovereignty, compliance, and customer control.
  • Ensure offerings are resilient, compliant, and trusted, protecting customer data and fully supporting regulatory frameworks (e.g., GDPR, EU Sovereign Cloud).
Leadership, DevOps & Observability
  • Proven track record of applying DevOps principles and rolling them out across CloudOps and Engineering units to drive speed, reliability, and quality.
  • Establish and scale a proactive Observability framework and tool stack covering all layers: network, infrastructure, application, and end-user experience.
  • Ensure observability practices span across multi-cloud deployments (Azure, private cloud, data center), driving early detection and prevention of incidents.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing CloudOps organization.
  • Champion a customer-first culture across Cloud delivery.

  1. CloudOps KPls for the Matrix42 Product Portfolio trends consistently downwards (incidents, MTTR)
  2. and measurable efficiency through automation increases.
  3. Escalations reduced.
  4.  M42 Enterprise Cloud Gross Margin improved.
  5. Cloud Your Way adoption: measurable growth in customers choosing sovereign deployment options.
  6. Compliance & trust: demonstrable adherence to European regulations, with high customer trust metrics.
  7. Proactive observability established across all layers in a multi-cloud environment.
  8. Operational cost levels enable pricing that is both attractive for customers and accretive to margins.

Your profile

  • 12+ years of experience in Cloud Operations and managing Saas Infrastructures in multi-cloud scenarios.
  • Proven track record in managing Saas cloud delivery at scale (preferably in Enterprise Service Management, ITSM, UEM etc).
  • Strong financial acumen in Cloud cost optimization & margin improvement.
  • Experience with CloudOps practices (SRE, FinOps, DevSecOps).
  • Demonstrated success in rolling out DevOps principles across multiple units including Engineering.
  • Proven experience in establishing observability frameworks across network,
  • infrastructure, and application layers in multi-cloud environments (Azure, private cloud, data center).
  • Deep understanding of platform-agnostic cloud stack design and deployment building blocks.
  • Strong knowledge of data residency, compliance, and regulatory frameworks in Europe.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills; ability to partner with Product, Engineering, Finance, and Customer Success.

This role is accountable for ensuring operational excellence in Cloud delivery, driving efficiency through measurable KPls, improving customer experience by reducing escalations, and strengthening profitability- with a specific mandate to increase Enterprise Cloud Gross Margin.

The strategy includes turn-key solutions that combine ease of adoption with full data residency control, and ensuring all offerings are resilient, compliant, and trusted - protecting customer data while supporting regulatory requirements.
The VP Cloud reports directly to the CTO and collaborates with Product, Engineering, Finance, and Customer Success and Support teams to ensure the company's Cloud offerings deliver scalability, resilience, cost efficiency, trust, and European independence.
