Your mission

Key Responsibilities 

We are seeking an experienced Senior Architect to contribute to the technology vision and architecture function of our 600 person strong company. As The European Choice in Service Management, we help our customers to digitalize and automate their work. We are evolving our SaaS offering towards a modern, AI-native and cost-effective cloud architecture based on a state-of-the-art Tech Stack.
The Senior Architect will work closely with the Chief Architect to drive technical transformation, including the architecture evolution following strategic shift. As we transition to a cloud architecture following our ‘cloud your way’ strategy, you will design and implement solutions that leverage PaaS while providing deployment flexibility. This includes creating abstraction layers that shield applications from cloud-specific dependencies, designing for portability and reliability by establishing clear boundaries between standardized components and customizable elements
  • Collaborate with the Chief Architect to define and execute the Data, Integration and AI strategy
  • Design and architect solutions for our SaaS platform, ensuring scalability, performance, security, and cost-efficiency
  • Work with engineering teams to implement architecture patterns and best practices
  • Contribute to aligning target architecture and AI initiatives across the product portfolio
  • Containerization & orchestration – Implement cloud transformation initiatives leveraging Kubernetes and related cloud-native technologies
  • Design and integrate AI-powered capabilities (e.g., predictive analytics, intelligent automation, LLM-based virtual assistants) into specific product areas
  • Implement flexible architecture patterns that support deployment across multiple cloud providers (Azure or comparable AWS/GCP), private cloud and on-premises environments
  • Develop platform components that abstract cloud-specific dependencies while leveraging PaaS where appropriate
  • Apply FinOps practices to optimize cloud spend while maintaining performance and reliability
  • Create and maintain comprehensive architecture documentation for assigned product areas
  • Contribute to the metrics-driven governance framework to measure architectural effectiveness
  • Support technical due diligence (Tech DD) activities for potential acquisitions (M&A)
  • Mentor and coach engineering teams, ensuring architectural practices and responsible AI principles are embedded in development processes
  • Participate in internal AI and architecture communities, collaborating with engineering teams, Cloud Operations, and key stakeholders

Your profile

Experience Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in software architecture, with a strong background in enterprise software, data and integration architecture
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI/ML, or a related field preferred
  • Proven experience in architecting solutions within a SaaS or enterprise software company
  • Track record of contributing to architecture modernization, ensuring scalability, AI-readiness, high availability, and performance
  • Experience working with distributed teams and collaborating across multiple product areas

Technical Skills

  • 7+ years of experience in C# or Java development, with a deep understanding of software development lifecycle and best practices
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud (and/or AWS, GCP), including Azure AI/ML services, Cognitive Services, and OpenAI APIs
  • 3+ years of experience with containerization technologies (Kubernetes and related cloud-native technologies) and service mesh architectures
  • Strong knowledge of microservices architecture, API design, and integration patterns
  • Strong knowledge of data platforms, storage and serving, and data pipelines technologies
  • Exposure to AI/ML frameworks and Agentic frameworks (e.g., LangGraph, MS Semantic Kernel) is a plus
  • Demonstrated experience applying AI/ML tools and techniques to software architecture, system design, and hands-on development — including the use of AI-assisted coding, design automation
  • Experience with cloud cost management and optimization techniques across different deployment models
  • Knowledge of data residency, sovereignty, and compliance requirements for distributed cloud deployments
  • Experience with large-scale SaaS platforms, supporting thousands of customers

Collaboration & Communication

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, capable of working with engineering teams, architects, and technical leaders
  • Ability to translate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience mentoring developers and promoting architectural best practices
