Your mission

We are now looking for a business-oriented Legal Trainee to support Matrix42’s international legal function in its various daily tasks and projects. Key responsibilities:

Drafting and commenting commercial agreements (e.g. sales contracts, DPAs, NDAs) across jurisdictions in Europe
Assisting in data protection matters
Planning and implementing a contract management processes and AI enabled legal workflows
Corporate governance tasks of an international software business
Supporting in corporate development and M&A activities
Any other tasks the team may have

The position is

part-time and for a fixed term until 31.12.2026.The role is based in Espoo, Finland, with a hybrid working option. You can start either immediately or at the end of the summer.

Your profile

Must have:

Law student past mid-point of your studies
Business acumen and a keen interest in software and AI
Excellent skills in English and Finnish are needed to succeed in the role

Nice to have:

Skills in German considered a big plus
Work experience from a law firm or legal department is a plus
Some understanding and/or previous experience from data protection matters
