Your mission
Matrix42 is on an ambitious mission to build the European choice in service-management software, built and operated in Europe and compliant with applicable EU and local regulations. We are now looking for a business-minded Legal Counsel to join our international legal team to support Matrix42 on this ambitious mission.
Your primary responsibilities as the Legal Counsel relate to advising our go-to-market organization in the DACH region and internationally with preparing and reviewing legal documents for software subscription and SaaS contracts.
You will also be in charge of developing and updating our standard legal documents as well as improving our legal processes, including compliance with emerging technology regulation such as GDPR, AI Act, NIS2 and more.
The role is ideally based in the Frankfurt region, but we are open to remote/hybrid options within Germany.
Your key responsibilities would include:

Your key responsibilities would include:
- Acting as the main legal advisor for go-to-market organization in DACH, and supporting the sales teams globally
- Preparing and reviewing legal documents and quotations, including SaaS contracts, partner contracts, NDAs, Data Processing Agreements, EVB-IT and VOL/A/B contracts
- Developing and updating standard legal documents
- Improving and optimizing our legal processes
- Providing advice on data protection matters, including data processing agreements, data protection impact assessments, and other internal policies and documentation
