Your mission

We are seeking a visionary and highly experienced Principal Software Engineer to drive the development of innovative solutions across our ITSM product suite. As a key technical leader within the organization, you will be responsible for shaping the architectural vision, guiding engineering best practices, and ensuring the successful delivery of strategic initiatives. In this role, you will not only design and develop cutting-edge features for Matrix42 ITSM solution, an advanced low-code platform reshaping IT service management, but also actively contribute to setting the technical direction for the broader engineering team. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders, mentor engineers, and solve complex business problems that align with our organizational objectives.

The Principal Software Engineer will be a driving force behind high-impact projects, leveraging deep expertise in Microsoft .NET, Azure, and modern frontend technologies to build scalable, enterprise-grade solutions. You will play a key role in defining the technical roadmap and ensuring that Matrix42 continues to innovate and deliver world-class products.

Key Responsibilities

End-to-end Software Development: Drive the design, development, and deployment of complex, scalable, and robust solutions across the ITSM platform. Ensure technical excellence and innovation in all solutions.
Enterprise-Grade Development: Utilize your experience in building enterprise-grade products to ensure our solutions meet the highest standards of scalability, security, and reliability.
Code Quality: Champion code quality, maintainability, and performance across the team. Conduct thorough code reviews and enforce best practices in software development.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product managers, architects, and other engineers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Continuous Improvement: Stay at the forefront of advancements in software engineering and IT industry. Advocate for and implement innovative solutions that drive continuous improvement within the team and across the organization.

Your profile

MUST & NICE TO HAVES

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: 10+ years of experience in software development, with deep expertise in Microsoft .NET (C#), MSSQL, and Microsoft Azure services.
Enterprise-Grade Projects Experience: Proven track record of building and delivering enterprise-grade products, with a strong understanding of the challenges and best practices involved.
Architectural Leadership: Proven track record of leading large-scale, complex projects, with experience defining technical architectures and driving engineering excellence across teams.
Leadership: Demonstrated experience leading technical teams, mentoring developers, and driving complex projects to successful completion.
Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capability to address complex technical challenges and devise innovative solutions.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

Azure Expertise: Deep knowledge of Microsoft Azure services, including cloud hosting, storage, and AI services.
Agile Methodology: Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
DevOps: Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, particularly in the Azure ecosystem.
Full-Stack Expertise: Experience with end-to-end development, including modern frontend technologies (AngularJS, React, or web components) and their integration into backend solutions.
