Your mission
To engage in and improve the entire lifecycle of services, from concept and design through deployment, operation, and refinement. You will support services before they go live by engaging in system design consulting, developing software platforms and frameworks, capacity planning, and conducting launch reviews. Once services are live, you will maintain them by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, and overall system health.
You will scale systems sustainably through automation and evolve them by implementing changes that enhance reliability and velocity. Practicing sustainable incident response and conducting blameless retrospectives will be key aspects of your role. Additionally, you will keep a vigilant eye on our systems’ capacity and performance to ensure they meet our standards.

As a Cloud Engineer you treat operations as if it’s a software problem. Our mission in this department is to protect our cloud products with an ever-watchful eye on their availability, latency, performance, and capacity. We ensure that Matrix42’s services – for our internally critical and our externally-visible systems – have reliability, uptime appropriate to users' needs and a fast rate of improvement.
Our Cloud Engineers can manage complex challenges of scale, while using your expertise in coding, algorithms, complexity analysis and large-scale system design.
